Think back to your own childhood summers. Remember sunny days at the pool, time and freedom to discover more about the world (and yourself), heading out on new adventures, special summertime treats, and best of all, lots of laughter with friends?

At Camp Keff, we recapture that magic. For us, summer inspires play—and we bring that spirit of playfulness into every camp that we create. And that only makes sense, because keff—or “fun” in Hebrew—is right there in our name! And we know that human beings are wired to play: science has proven that it stimulates brain synapses, amplifies imagination, and encourages emotional resilience and growth.

The values of play, exploration, friendship, community—and of course, safety—inform all the steps we take to design a slate of programs that add up to a summer that’s really fun and transformational for your kids. From swimming in our amazing pools, to setting off on adventures around the Bay Area, to letting their imaginations soar in art and cooking classes, to enhancing their STEAM skills in basic coding and robotics, each child can have exactly the summer that’s KEFF for them.

Campers in grades K – 6 can choose between three unique formats each session and enjoy any combination over the course of the ten weeks of summer camp. All of our camp sessions are either one or two weeks long, so finding one that meets your camper’s schedule and interests couldn’t be easier. These programs led by an amazing staff of instructors and counselors with extensive experience and training. This makes camp fun and well supervise, campers in grades K-6 enjoy low camper to staff ratios of 8:1.

Whether your camper joins us for a week or spends several sessions with us, we look forward to being a part of your KEFF-filled, playful summer!

Signature Camps

Signature camps offer the all the highlights of sleep away camp, with the ease of day camp. At Camp Keff we create summer-magic memories. We offer everything from campouts, crazy-cool science experiments, sports, and swimming, to the best creative arts program and our not-to-be-missed weekly Shabbat fair. Enjoy the ultimate camp experience with our Signature Camps like Kindercamp, Kadima or Kefftana, for even more individualized programming.

Adventure Camps

Adventure seeker? Bored with Smore’s? Need more from your camp? We got you! Check out the latest technology in our Flying with Drones Camp. Here you will not only learn to build a drone, but take your own drone on missions, do search and rescue ops, and even learn aerial photography skills. Drones not your thing, but Dragons and Unicorns fill your imagination on a daily basis? Bring yourself to Mythical Creatures Camp and let your imagination soar!

Mix and Match Camps

Choose one morning and one afternoon option each session to make your full camp day! We know you… you like to think out of the box and mix things up. Camp Keff’s Mix and Match Camps are for you, letting you choose from up to 9 different combinations to fill your week with super fun experiences. Be a renaissance camper with Major League Sports in the morning, and Cooking Camp in the afternoon. Showcase your best Logo ideas to begin your day, and then paint your way through the afternoon. Choose from a great list of all your favorite camps and mix it up to create your dream summer!

Extended Care, Lunch and More

Want to have even more Keff? Add extended care in the mornings from 7:30 – 9:00 am, in the afternoons from 3:00 – 6:00 pm, and our after camp swim and art clubs. You can even add a delicious meal prepared for your child by our friends SchoolFoodies.

Basketball and Intro to STEM using LEGO v.I

Spend half of the day polishing basketball skills, including dribbling, passing, and shooting. Then spend the rest of the day tapping into your imagination with tens of thousands of LEGO! Build engineer-designed projects such as boats, snowmobiles, catapults, and merry-go-rounds.

Game on! Learn robotics and engineering as you bring characters and vehicles from some of your favorite video games to life. Craft a customized Mario Kart, program a robotic Donkey Kong, and design the legendary Solgaleo, a Pokemon lion! Employ building techniques with motors, gears, pulleys and WeDo 2.0 robotic components, including sensors—and, you’ll get to use robotics software, too. Each day, you’ll also use Scratch, a software program developed at MIT, to code your own games that you can play at camp and at home.

Flying With Drones

Come soar with us! Discover the science and technology behind building, programming, and flying small drones. Under the guidance of our drone experts at Code Rev Kids, you’ll navigate obstacle courses, complete “escape” missions, film aerial video footage, and complete other mind-bending challenges. You’ll also learn how drones are used in real-world situations such as search and rescue, aerial photography and cinematography, agriculture, construction, and more. During the camp, you’ll pilot your very own micro-drone—plus, you’ll also get to “captain” a larger drone just like the ones the pros use!

Control and create apps and games with pro software! In Unity 3D, one of our more advanced camps, you’ll learn intro C# (C-sharp) as you code your creations to do what you want in your 3D worlds. Then, experience your imagination with the powerful Oculus Rift virtual reality headset. This is one camp that game lovers and aspiring video-game creators won’t want to miss.

Junior Maccabi Sports Camp

Come learn and play your favorite sports! Join us and JCC Maccabi Sports Camp for an intensive week of working with experienced coaches to develop your teamwork and your skills in one sport of choice. Select one of the following sports-track options and we will place you with your team: baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, or hip-hop dance. Every day, you and your fellow athletes-in-training will be bussed from the PJCC to Menlo College to practice and play on their collegiate athletic facilities. Every day also includes swimming, a tasty hot lunch, and an all-around awesome experience. All sports enthusiasts welcome—no experience necessary.

And, get ready to get competitive as you participate in Creator Bot races throughout the week! Roll up your sleeves and get ready to get crafty! Our friends at Art & Soul come to Keff to teach you a variety of clay-building methods like ceramics, air dry clay, and modeling clay, as well as techniques that the pros use, such as sgraffito, layered sgraffito, inlay, and newsprint transfer. You’ll also get to design your own projects, including clay animals made into piggy banks and your very own mug!

Major League Sports NEW!

Experience all of your favorite sports, with twists, turns, and surprises along the way! From court sports to field fun, get active through strategy learning, light competition, and teamwork. You’ll play some of your favorite “classic” sports, while also learning pickleball, Ultimate Frisbee, and other cool new ways to get your game on.

Come reach for the stars in this brand-new voyage with Mad Science and NASA! Take off on a voyage of discovery and explore the farthest reaches of our solar system. Watch star dust burn, journey through a galaxy as you investigate the life cycle of stars, and create a lunar eclipse in this “mad” planetary tour. Probe the mysteries of meteors and bounce around satellite light as you learn about space phenomena. See the principles of thrust and propulsion at work. It’s out of this world!
